IllinoisEstatePlan Made the ABA Journal Blawg 100 for 2015!
Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Last week I received an e-mail that started like this:
Congratulations are in order.
Your blawg has earned a spot in the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100, our 9th annual list of the best in blogs about lawyers and the law.
The complete list of the 9th Annual Blawg 100 honorees can be found here. And an impressive list it is. It really is an honor to be included among these talented legal bloggers.
The only other trusts and estates blog among the honorees is Professor Gerry Beyer’s “Wills, Trusts & Estates Prof Blog,” which is one of ten blogs inducted this year into the “Hall of Fame.” Prof. Beyer has been kind enough to share several of my posts and his blog provides an incredible resource that is on my daily list of web visits.
The ABA Journal also posted an interesting article on the current state of the legal blogosphere.
The editors of the ABA Journal summarize my blog here as follows:
Posts discuss estate planning in the state of Illinois, but also has general advice for anyone looking to arrange their will and finances to benefit their heirs. In 2015, the legal wrangling over former Cubs player Ernie Banks’ estate was used as a case study to illustrate the pitfalls and practicalities of estate planning.
Thank you to all of my readers and everyone that took the time to nominate the blog!
