Jeffrey R. Gottlieb
Jeffrey R. Gottlieb (“Jeff”) is the principal attorney of the Law Offices of Jeffrey R. Gottlieb, LLC, located in Palatine, Illinois. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois-Urbana in 1996 and his J.D. from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois in 2000, and was admitted to practice law in Illinois in that same year.
Jeff is a member of the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations, and is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council (CEPC).
Jeff teaches a semi-annual adult continuing education class on trusts and estates for Township High School District 211 in Palatine. He has also presented on estate planning and estate administration topics for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE), National Business Institute (NBI) and McHenry County College.
Jeff’s article entitled “A New Weapon Against Elder Abuse: Presumptively Void Transfers to Caregivers” is published in the January 2015 edition of the Illinois Bar Journal. Jeff has also been quoted in articles in numerous publications, including U.S. News & World Report, Investopedia and the Illinois Bar Journal. Jeff’s “Plan for the Road Ahead” blog on this website was recognized by the ABA Journal as one of the top 100 legal blogs in 2015.
Jeff proudly serves on the volunteer staff of the Planned Gifts Committee for Northwest Community Hospital Foundation in Arlington Heights.
Jeff has nearly 20 years worth of legal experience focused exclusively on estate planning and estate administration, including probate and related litigation. As the father of a beautiful daughter with autism, he also takes pride in estate planning for families with special needs children. He is the author and editor of all of the educational content and information provided on this Website and Blog.
