Estate Planning Humor: 3 Videos for April’s National Humor Month
April is National Humor Month — and who doesn’t like a good chuckle? Humor is easily one of the best ways to tell a story, or just to be entertained. Even typically serious topics can be ripe for humor. Estate and tax planning is no exception.
To close out the month, here are links (click on video title) to my 3 favorite estate planning humor videos:
1. “Lies” by Zhubin Parang (for Spark and Echo Arts) Today (April 30) is National Honesty Day (honestly…it is). Watch what happens in this comic sketch when a young couple finally becomes “completely truthful” with each other while meeting with an estate planning attorney. 2. “Obama Befriends Rich Elderly Widow in Hopes She’ll Put Nation in her Will” (The Onion) There’s nothing wrong with a little presidential undue influence to help balance the budget…is there? 3. “Estate Tax Humor” (by Logan Lindabury) Tax class students create an animated video to illustrate some unusual, though largely accurate, estate tax planning scenarios.I hope you enjoyed these! If you have any other links to humorous estate-related videos or cartoons, feel free to share in the comments.
